ASFA & AKC Lure Coursing Labor Day Weekend Sept 4th-6th, in Salt Lake Utah

ASFA REGION 3 INVITATIONAL(There will be a 2 day ASFA region 3 invitational on Saturday and Sunday. Monday will be 1 day of AKC coursing)

USRCC will be holding a 3 day trial over Labor Day weekend on the Lee Kay field. This trial is in September so it may be HOT. Attendees are responsible to pack their own lunches, water and shade for all 3 days of the trial. Also plan on bringing gear if it becomes cold as well. Utah's weather has been known to shift that dramatically in just a few days.

Saturday and Sunday September 4th and 5th we will be hosting the Region 3 Invitational. This will be a 2 day regional event. In order to be considered for Best In Regional, The hound has to run both days. Rules will be similar to the ASFA II. Any hound that has earned at least 1 ASFA point is eligible to enter. For a Limited Stake or Provisional breed to be eligible, the entered hound must have received a placement, with competition. All points or placements must be earned by the closing date of the event. Any hound entered in the Single Stake does not need prior ASFA experience. An eligible hound may be entered in any number of Regional Invitationals.

Monday Sept 6th we will be holding a a day of AKC coursing.

We will be awarding the Wind Walker and the Windrock trophy's this trial for those who are club members and paid dues by the Memorial Day trial. Because of the Regional trial, we will not be doing a runoff. The Trophy's will be awarded to the highest scoring dog of the 2 trials combined. They will take the points from the class runs and average them to come up with the highest score. Full competition rules will be posted at the trial.

The terrain on this field is natural so be sure that your hounds feet and and stamina are in shape for this trial. This is not a good field for couch potato, soft footed Sighthounds

Throughout the spring and fall Reata racing holds practices several times a month. These are fun sessions and great exercise for your hounds.
